ACTIVITY PAGE - Lesson 1 & 2
(You will work on this for 2 weeks.)
Build the Frame
Materials:
- 48 gold tongue depressors for each child
- low-temp glue gun ( 1 per 3 students), tacky or wood glue
- silver bases, 2 long and one short per child
- platform
Instructions:
1. Use wood glue or a glue gun to glue the silver bases onto the platform. Arrange the two long pieces for the side, and the short one at the back.
Be sure to place the short back piece in between these two side pieces.
- This foundation should be situated towards the back of the platform 1" from the edge.

2. Now, begin to glue the tongue depressors into the silver grooved bases. (You will complete this in the next lesson)
- It may be helpful to use extra tongue depressors laying horizontally in the groove to support the vertical boards. This will depend on the width of your groove in the silver base.
- The child should use a low temp glue gun/tacky glue guiding the glue into the groove. The child can then line up the tongue depressors, standing them up on edge all along the two sides and back of the tabernacle.
- You should fit 20 in each long piece, and 8 in the back piece. You may need to cut the tips off of the end two tongue depressors for the back piece, and glue them on an angle out towards the sides.

| Note: Remember that as you help the children build their tabernacle, you want to remind them of the lesson that was taught. Use the discussion questions provided. Great learning will take place during this building time. |
